Take a deep breath.
Hi, I’m Carri. I find joy in supporting students’ well-being through mindful awareness and movement. My personal practice supports balance within my full-time career, family, self-care, and personal growth, and I’m enthusiastic about sharing those benefits with others. My Yoga and mindfulness classes center self- and social awareness, personal and social justice, trauma-sensitivity, and compassion within a context of Yogic and Buddhist philosophy that strives to honor the South Asian cultures and communities that protected and sustained these ancient practices for thousands of years.
I completed my 200-hour Yoga teacher training with Pam Medina at The Yoga Lily and subsequently registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200. I’ve completed a mindfulness meditation teacher training with Cyndi Lee and am currently working on my 300-hour Ayurvedic Yoga teacher certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I also hold a BA in Art History and Anthropology and an MA in Museum Professions.
I live just outside Albany, New York with my husband and hiking partner Jeff, our black lab/pittie mix Rio, and our tuxedo cat Layla.
